My dad has a 68 barracuda with a 360 swapped from previous owner. most of the wires look pretty. Original. It looks decent. The problem that we have is when it starts to get hot (200°ish) it completely shutsdown headlights brakelights ignition radio everything.

Turn the key all the way off and all the way on starts back up again and runs till we get it back approximately 3 blocks car has complete msd ignition setup distributer box and coil.

Any idea's?

Ohhh yah and I just beefed up all the ground wires.it still did it.

bulkhead connector 12v feed bad connection. high resistance in connector gets hot, expands, msd is probably loosing switched ignition.

see the madelectrical webpages related to Chryslers.
Just outside the bulkhead connectors you'll find a service disconnect and a fusible link. Somewhere from there to the amp gauge in the instrument panel is your fault and potential for fire.

thanks guys problem has not reaccured ill let you know if it does might be awhile this is a weekend car.
