Whew! Good question. I really don’t have a definitive answer. Living on Ling Island had a funny effect on weather. If the island called for 6-8 inches of snow, north and west across the Long Island Sound waters you could easily expect an additional 4-6 inches easy. Temps were close though. I've only ever heard that Ocala is typically considered the freeze line.Yes, most are part of the AC unit with electric heater/furnace elements in the plenum duct work.
220v window AC units are also available with a heat cycle if needed.
Orlando is at what they call the Freeze Line. Everything South of Orlando the water lines do not freeze. Everything North of Orlando is at risk of the exposed water pipes freezing.
