Rat Rod Al, Check Your Anti-Freeze

-
38* here, last night.
42 the night before.

My truck runs straight water as it has some cooling system issues.
I put about a quart of anti-freeze in it last night and drove it about 3 miles.
Better safe....

I dated a girl in the early 90's that had a pet iguana.
They've been talking on the radio about people being scared of their vicious bite.
Actually, it's not too bad. Not gonna take off a finger as reported, but more of a shock- they can bite fast.
Generally after the first latch (they have quite a few, very small teeth- might not even break the skin) they will start to chew, which allows you to pull free.

Yes, we have house heaters and heat pump AC systems.
What Florida does not have a lot of is double pane insulated windows.
Not sure why, as the same properties that keep in the heat up North, keep in the cold/keep out the heat in the South.
They should have started marketing that here in the late 70's, like they did up there.
In fact, right now, if you get estimates for new windows, it will be single pane.
If you ask about double pane, you get funny looks.

I've only ever heard that Ocala is typically considered the freeze line.
The “Freeze Line” is an “In General” line that wavers up and down like the cycles of cold winters vs warm ones.
I’m close to Palm Bay, Oceanside. My first two years here we had only 1 night each year where the temps fell to 28*’s. Generally speaking, nights during the winter barely reach the low 30’s during the coldest of times.

In FL you just never know what a "winter" will be.

Some years it's three months of 45 degree weather with three weeks of mid to low 30's in the middle.

Other years, it's just a month of low 50's.

...and anything in between.

Exactly!!!!

I've been to Don Garlits show, traditionally held mid-November-

...in 88 degree weather...

...and in 38 degree weather.

I'm next to Crystal River on the Gulf side. We had 1 night last year where it hit 28. Other than that, it was typically in the low 30's at night (January/early February only) and mid-50's during the day.
