Ratchet

Has anyone seen a kit to change a a-body shifter into a Ratchet shifter like on a e-body type? As I don't want to cut my console.

What did you not like or what did it do??

Had one in my 68 Cuda for a while and hated it. Did not work smooth at all. Not only was it confusing to remember how to use it but it would hang up quite often (I don't know how many times I would come to a stop and try to downshift only to have to fight it to get into low) and nothing I did seemed to help. Took it out and put in a B&M Quicksilver and love it.

BTW: I never tried it but I often wonder if a E-body slap stick mechanism could be made to work?? Just a thought for ya.
