I have found two different rear bumper stabilizers for my 1964 Barracuda. The factory parts book and Classic Industries (MA1845) show a thick "T" shaped block of rubber and Detroit Muscle Technologies and Metro (BG101C) show a thin "J" shaped rubber strip. Which one or both are required. Reference photos attached.

Yes they are both correct pieces for a 65 / 65 Barracuda. They both are fitted to the body, The thin pieces are screwed upward and the rubber block part is at the end of the bumper on the side of the car.
I'll try and get some pics for you.

Found a pic for you. You can see the thin hard rubber pieces are screwed up under the tail light and the rubber block is just around the corner to support the end of the bumper from contacting the car.

It's nice those pieces are available. My "J" pieces just pulled out when I was looking at them, the stuff deteriorated around the bolt holes. I think the factory stuff was like compressed fiberboard?
