Getting ready to put on a set of rear disk brakes on my 8 3/4 rear. Should the calipers be on the front side of the axle tube or back side? This is a Right Stuff kit snd can be mounted either way.

thanks,

Don't think it makes any difference in how it performs, may make a difference in routing e-brake cables or brake lines, I'd suggest mocking it up first to determine the best way to install them.

Mounting them behind the axle just helps shift the center of gravity rearward though you probably wouldn't notice the difference. Still a good thing on rear wheel drive vehicles.

I would mount them with the easiest parking brake cable routing

Getting closer! Ready to slide under car!!!
