The 7.250" diff is about to let go behind my 360 4 speed combo so I have been driving it like a
slant six... Would like 323:1 or higher ratio but would also consider a fresher 2.76:1 than mine. My bolt pattern is 5X4.5" now.

So Cal. Hesperia..

When you look at the crazy prices of A body 8 3/4 rear ends. I found the best way is finding one from another car. C,B, E, or truck rear end and having it narrowed. Buy axles from Dr. Diff. Better yet do a 9" ford. Cheap to buy, cheap to find parts for. From experience.... the 8 3/4 in my 65 started life in an e body. New housing ends, narrowing axles, and center section spool, gears, bearings, and what not im $700 into it.

Looks like I`ll being doing a 9". Price, parts and availability make the decision for me..

My friend has suggested that to me. But I was looking for a plug and play approach..
Now the search for the build starts..

Thanks..

Consider 8 1/4 rears from 73-76 Abodies. They are LBP too.

@newmexguy & A833Mopar - Closest 8" bolt in is a '73 &'74 Maverick. Very close in both wheel mounting flange OD and spring perch centerline.
