Rear main seal replacement 69 Dart 440

Any recommendations on which rear main seal kit to use Mancini makes a nice billet kit. I don't race it but I want it bullet proof.

There's nothing wrong with a stock (used) retainer if you can find one. The Viton rear main and silicone side seals are about as fancy-pants as you can get. I installed them on my last build. There's a trick to installing the side seals - you just have to follow the directions.

*Shoots best real main seal* Yep, I see a leak. Get a good quality one at your local auto store, all of em' leak at one point or another, especially those old 2 pc seals.

never had a problem with 2 pc seal, just use sil sealer on the ends.

I used the Mancini billet kit and it has not leaked a drop.

Just replaced mine with the Mancini kit worked great, no leaks. I really like the double o-ring side seals, makes it a breeze to install.

as stated above, twice, the 440source viton side seals are the only kit that ive had actually work. the fel-pro kit is a JOKE!
