rear spring relocate with s/s springs

This may have been answered before. When relocating rear springs on a 70 swinger and using super stock springs do you have to drill new holes in the front mounts farther back? Any info is appreciated.

u didn`t say what springs, if A body springs u shouldn`t have to.
