I have a totally rebuilt 340 motor that is cuurently in a 1974 Plymouth Duster Street stock (circle track trace car). Motor has a date code from mid-late 1972.(I will post casting #'s soon) . Car was in an accident and no longer driveable. Drivetrain was untouched. Motor has mild cam (couple steps above stock), "J" casting heads and 2bbl intake/carb ( that was required for class it was run in). I don't know the exact specs of the cam. Idles smooth. Runs excellent no smoke, leaks etc. Motor was built by legendary engine builder Charlie Weston (from Piscataway,NJ) according to the guy I bought car from (old guy that has been racing for 40 years). Motor only has 10 races on it (approx 1500-2000 miles ). It also has high performance factory exhaust manifolds on it too. Asking $2500 B/O

Block casting # 2780930-340-2

date code 5-31-72

casting # on driver side exhaust manifold is 2863553

casting # on the pass side exhaust manifold is 2863549

Exhaust manifolds $450

Also have a rebuilt 727 trans in the same car. It was built by Royal transmission in Spotswood,NJ . Asking $600 B/O

located at my friend's house in Hamilton,NJ (Mercer County)

i also have a fresh pair of rebuilt "X" heads that are mildly ported. I have all the paperwork for them. They would be a perfect upgrade for this motor. Asking $1300 for them.

prices lowered:

Motor $2250

727 trans. $525

X heads $1150

Exhaust manifold $425

$4000 for everything

I will have this motor/trans at Maple Grove on Saturday. You will be able to here it run. It's still in the car.
