Remote Control Mirror

I would like to change my standart mirror to the remote control mirror. Could someone tell me the exact space in inch or centimeter beetween the little knob on the left side and the hole.

I went home at lunch and measured for you.
From the center of the "button" to the center of my remote mirror is 4 1/2"

From the top of the door panel its 3" to the center.

From the top of the door its 2"
