Remote Mirror Question

Is there some sort of piece that goes behind the chrome nut on a remote mirror? Like a plastic bushing or ??? If I just screw my nut on it bottoms out and does not get tight so Im wondering what Im missing. If there is suppose to be something pics would be nice of the piece.

There's a square clip that fits behind the door panel to hold the remote bezel in place. Here's one........

I certainly don't have one of those. So that on the backside and the chrome nut on the outside is all that's needed?

It goes on the inside, on the control wand before its put though the hole. If you can find any car with a long cable remote mirror on the right door, it will have that piece behind the plastic where that control wand is mounted. I mention this because its about the easiest one to lay hands upon.

Im hopefully heading to a junk yard this weekend that has a bunch of Abodies so hopefully I can find one that has this clip or the entire mirror attached.
