remove gas pedal from a 66 a body

-
V8 and slant pedals have captured studs which mount through the floor and are secured by 2 nuts. You might have to support the driver's side high enough to see the nuts under the floor by the tunnel.

There is a pin at the base of the pedal, remove the cotter pin and turn it out (it has threads ) , remove pedal ,and then you have access to the two bolts that hold the mount in place .

They are actually studs with flatted heads under the gas pedal, so I'm no sure that removing the pedal itself will further his progress! You need to get to the nuts in the tunnel area underneath, which are 7/16" head, and sometimes very difficult to remove without breaking the stud! A spritz of penetrant in advance will aid in their removal! Geof
