removing anodizing for polishing?????

looking for more info on this ..i remember a fella with a barracuda here that soaked the parts in lye to remove the anodizing for polishing anyone else remember...?????:read2:

Oven cleaner works great I know alot of people tht used it go to you local ace hardware and get a can.

Get some Draino Kitchen Crystals (Lowes). Runs circles around oven cleaner. Mix some up in a bucket of hot water. The annodizing/bright dip will be gone within 20 minutes. You'll know it's working 'cause you'll see little bubbles rising.
