Can any members here share their favorite method for removing black RTV silicone from stainless or aluminum trim pieces?
Go get you a set of plastic interior prying
tools for removing interior trim and mouldings. Harbor Freight has them, and probably the box stores too. They won't scratch the the top face. A narrow flat screwdriver will do wonders on the backside carefully.
Thanks for the tip. I'll call a couple places and see what they got.plumbing bathroom place should have silicone sealer removal stuff
normally you paint it on, around your bath or shower. and then strip out the now softened sealer re apply and then scrape until none is left
if it works there i'd suggest it probably works elsewhere
softens the silicone
Google Search
if the hardware shops in the UK are full of it i'd guess your local places will have something similar
