removing windshield trim on my 66 slant

I am about to get my 66 dart sedan painted, and I want to remove all the trim myself. How is the windshield trim help on? how to remove it. same goes for the back glass too. thanks for your help.
edit: there is no metal trim around my windshield, only rubber. I guess that stays unless I want to remove the glass, which I dont. The back glass does have metal trim all the way around, i need that off.

My first question would be has it ever been restored before and is the rubber holding the glass in the original rubber?
I personally would take the glass out and replace the old rubber and make sure of no rust around the glass if you don't know.
