Okay I think I have decided I am going to replace my cluster. I am tired of everytime one thing changes something else breaks.

My question does anyone know of a connector I can use to tap the factory plug rather then cutting it off? Any suggestions would be awesome.

The connector has simple round sockets. You could probably find a solid conductor that would fit tight and push those in as "pins" with stranded wire soldered to the other end. Then wrap it all with self-fusing silicone tape.
