Replaced stock intake with edelbrock street Performer

I recently replaced my intake with a Edelbrock Street Performer (7176). Any need to retune my Edelbrock 650 carb? The car seems to start and idle just fine. It also drives OK but, I have not hit it hard yet.

no retune should be needed.

just make sure the throttle return works.
you don't want to mash it all the way
and the linkage sticks..
.....try it with a friend and engine off..

Just got back from a hard test drive and I must disagree with you. The car pulls harder through all 4 gears. It also sounds much better.

He has the Performer RPM. That is a good intake. Should do better than a stocker.

Just took her to my buddies shop. We made some minor carb adjustments and a distributor/timing was off slightly. All corrections made.....man what a difference. Money well spent.
