There have been a large surge of spammer/scams reported lately on forums. Protect yourself by not falling for their crap. If you see something that doesn't look or sound right, hit the report button. You will find it on the bottom of every post or PM. It is much easier for us to remove all traces of a scammer through a report than if you just post in a general forum. A lot of these scams follow parts wanted threads were the seller/scammer has a relative that is trying to unload some parts after the death of her husband. (or the like) Don't buy parts through a 3rd. party just to be safe.

IN REVIEW: 1) If you see something that doesn't look right and may be a scammer. HIT THE REPORT BUTTON. (And not the report button on this post but the report button on the page the spammer posted on)

2) DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, POST YOUR PHONE NUMBER, E MAIL ADDRESS, PAY PAL INFORMATION OR THE LIKE, DIRECTLY ON A POST.
SEND IT THROUGH A PERSONAL MESSAGE ONLY TO A REGULAR MEMBER WITH SOME HISTORY HERE. GOLD MEMBER OR NOT!

Just a question but do you have the authority to remove private messages?

And if so, would you give reason for it to those involved?

There have been quite a few in the last couple days. Be vigilant and hit the "Report button" that you will find on every page. If a response sounds fishy, hit that button.
