I`d like to get a new battery for my `68 Dart and want it to look authentic to the period. Where is the best place to buy one of the reproduction Mopar batteries? This will be for a car that gets driven ,not just displayed (I`ve noticed there are two different types).

This is all I could muster up for ya. Not sure if it will help and I'm not even sure were their located. They sure seem harder to find these days. :idea1: If not, perhaps out of a MOPAR Magazine.

My buddy got a battery from these guys

they aren't cheap but they custom made if for his car with only a couple days notice

Thanks guys, it appears that only one company makes the repro battery and they are Axion Battery in Pa. They try to assure that all of their retailers keep the price of these batteries set at no less than $209.00 (ouch!). Year One`s like $325.00. I did find Tri-State Battery of De. that offered free shipping, which saved me a few bucks. Trying to be correct is not cheap!

Try turbostart.com Looks like they are around $200 but look to be good stuff. Mike
