Repro wiper bushing issue (1970 early style)

Just wondering if anyone had this issue. I bought some new bushings from National Moparts which I believe are DMT supplied since they carry their stuff. The wiper linkage arm will not stay in place and it does not grab the pin. James at DMT was unaware of any issues. I still have an old bushing with one remaining prong. Its a much tighter fit on the pin and still grabs. It measures 0.375" id. The new bushing measures 0.394" and is a loose fit. I expect that this is the difference. I did install the bushing in the arm first and push it over the pin.

Problem solved…sort of. The replacement pivot is 73 not 70 so the pin is shorter and won’t lock the bushings. The bushing bore is still too big but that is a different issue.
