I just saw a repro tach listed on Ebay for the 67-70 A body Rally gauge setup. $239 for a new solid state unit that's supposed to be a direct replacement.

they do work and is an accessible alt for the rare factory ones and are already updated. The factory ones only went to 6k. The price isn't bad either. By the time you find and buy and original one you've spent near/or that much and then another 200 to upgrade..
I agree with Steve these look like they have a "forced" styling over the originals. 8k is cool but should have left the face style alone

they offer both styles. The 8 to 4 position one is 67-8 unit. The other 5 to 2 o-clock one is 69 up aside from what the description says. But then again it says, "is a correct reproduction of the original in external appearance" which is incorrect factory ones only went to 6k not 8k rpm.

Also like the fact that the CI unit, 6K rpm is @11:00 position, not 3:00 as in the EBag unit.

I have one in my Duster. But as you can see, I wasn't too worried about a "stock" appearance. :D

All of the OEM tachs were sluggish in response, meaning you could jack the engine rpm a lot faster than that needle could travel. The 67 only tach was the worst example of this simply because its 0 to 6K scale was so wide spread.
Odd as it may seem... rather than add 1k rpm or 2k rpm to that scale in redesign they simply shortened to scale or needle travel to the same 6k.One can only assume this was because they didn't want to suggest their stock engines could or should be reved past 6k rpm.
It all boils down to owners preference. If the purist wants everything perfect he'll need a OEM tach, basic AM radio, an oil gauge that may stick at 75 psi or higher oil pressure, and keep some spare gas in the trunk.

Mine is a re pop also....it is not a direct replacement.

Greg, I haven't seen any re pops that are correct, but they may be out there.
