Restoring fender extentions

Hi

I got a pair of 72 Demon fender extentions and the studs are stripped. Any ideas on repairing or replace these.

I was thinking about taping and loc tighting new studs.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

I think the 72's are made of pot metal so you may be able to weld them up and redrill the holes then tap them.
