I'm trying to put the chrome reveal molding around the windshield and rear window. I'm having trouble in two spots getting the molding to engage properly. It's the lower drivers corner front and rear. I installed new clips, the glass is in but it won't quite grab. I plan on removing the glass again after the upcoming summer topaint the car. Would it be the end of the world if I used a bead of silcone to hold them in place, to get me through the summer? Also, stupid question #2, since the glass seals don't completey fill the opening they're in, what stops water from getting in the car? Is it the weight of the glass creating a seal around the edges?
Thanks, excuse my ignorance. I was expecting the trim installaion to be a snap!

There is supposed to be a bead of sealant in the rubber gasket where it sits on the fence. Are the new clips in the correct locations ? Did you use the correct screws that came with the clips ?
