This may be a dumb question, but what is a reverse valve body? The guy I just bought my 1967 Barracuda said he had the 727 rebuilt and had a reverse valve body installed.

Lets say you have a floor shifter, the normal sequence is P-R-N-D-2-1 reverse would be P-R-N-1-2-D:-D

when you are drag racing you don;t have to worry about hitting neutral....just keep pulling back on it and grin :-D

Thanks. I would have been concerned when I installed the shifter, put it in D and the car wouldn't come out of first gear. I did think the previous owner was going to race this car, this makes me a little more sure of it. I hope to have it moving under its own power in a couple of weeks. One thing holding me up is the shifter. My wife won't let me have it until my Birthday. I'm not suppossed to know about it, so Shhhhh
