You are better off getting a reproduction for $100ish, new.

Good used ones, even in driver condition go for $250-$300.

True if you don't have a left side REMOTE mirror.
There is a matching right side that mirrors the left side remote (nice pun there) but is manual, non-remote.

A guy told me at the Nats about 10 yrs ago that when a car was factory ordered with the right side mirror, the hardware inserted from inside the door on the assembly line. (except for the obvious external oval head screw) The dealer installed right side sourced from the parts book was installed entirely from outside the car so the interior panels did not have to be removed. The attaching hardware were basically sheet metal screws. He seemed to know a lot about mirrors and I ended up buying a RS from him.
