RIP Don Imus

I use to really enjoy listening to "Imus in the morning" on my way to work. He was shock jock, but he had a big heart, and did lots of charity work. I especially enjoyed his stories about taking kids with cancer to his ranch.

Agreed! Over all a good man. He did a lot with his “brand” to help kids in need.
RIP Mr Imus.

I remember when he called a McDonalds and said he was an Army general and he needed to feed the troops. He ordered a huge order of burgers...750 with ketchup and onions....221 with just mustard, etc.

The manager closed the store just to make the order.

Thee FCC came down hard on his station...

I never thought much of him, but I did not know of his charity efforts. That puts a different light on things. Actually I almost r refuse to listen to ANY "talk" radio.
