Wow So sad. He was one of my favorite keyboard players and one of the reasons why I took Piano lessons as a child. I still play today and know quite a few Deep Purple tunes. RIP Jon Lord. Now Jamming in heaven with the all star band.

My first concert ever was Deep Purple on the Perfect Strangers tour... the first rock albums I ever got were AC/DC Highway to Hell, and Deep Purple's Machine Head... RIP John Lord..Your music, creativity, and keyboard playing were intense.. You will be missed.
