Rmacharger's New Duster!!

-
Looks clean and not gummed up.:thumblef:
Pull one of them heads and lets see what has been happening.
Looks like the only problem I see is the mice had to find another hotel!!
Or if it is sleeping and comfy let it sleep for another season.:drinkers:

I would think your ramcharger is a dual purpose!!Show and Go.:thumblef:

As of right now (may change with the 2008 rule book) if you run 11.50 or slower you will not need a roll bar.

I'll let it sleep over the winter I think. Unless we get over an 60 degree day, then I'll pull the covers back and do the rust encapsulator thing on the floor boards where it needs it and the spare tire well, maybe even rustoleum primer the outside. The car may be in hibernation, but rust never sleeps. I'd hate to pull the covers back and find more problems. I'd kick myself in the *** for a week! lol!

We'll see how much "show" the Ramcharger has after I finish the body work. I plan on attempting my first paint job. This could be very bad. lol! Paint and body is NOT my specialty.

Thanks Chuck!

That's excellent information. I plan on getting my NHRA membership in 2008, mostly for the rule book. I know they put those saftey rules in there for a purpose, so I think it will be a good book to study. :book: I'd like to see 10's, but gradually and take things step by step. I don't want to put this thing on it's lid. I like it too much!

Hey Rumble! Thanks buddy! And yes, I deserve the spelling dig. That's what I get for PWI (posting while intoxicated). My woman wants a manual but I was thinking automatic for bracket racing. I'm pretty sure it was a manual to start with, but after doing some research I found that some headers for W-2 heads will interfere with the "Z" bar. I did get the manual hump with the car but the clutch pedal is gone.

Great findand looks like a great project!

Thanks jomoper! Ahh...Slotted wheels. I remember when our choices were limited to Cragar SS's, Slots, Torque Thrusts and Centerline solids lol!

He he he, well you know that was the pot caling the kettle black now don't you. Manuals are tuff for bracket racing. But I myself love to row my own boat in the street.

X2! I'd like to see if I can make some money bracket racing, but I also want show my fiance and her dad that american iron can handle. Should I make a BMW beater or a street strip car? Arrrgggghh!!!!! Decisions, decisions. :book:

Hmmmm...Quick ratio manual rack and pinion steering, manual Wilwood brakes, Keisler 5 speed, Magnumforce tubular K frame and arms and 285/60 15's all around? Or drag shocks, Caltracs, SS rear springs, 727, big and littles? What will it be?

remember ehrenberg's one lap valiant that SMOKED bmw's, mercedes, corvettes????

Please enlighten me!! I have not heard of this courageous Valiant character and his sidekick Ehernberg that beat back the foreign and fiberglass invaders. I must read of him and emulate his success, so my children will know that nothing is impossible. lol!

Thanks Red! Looks like I'll have to get the back issues for more technical information.

if i got em', i can do some photo copies and mail them to you. i know its a ray barton 340 stroked to 392, stock suspension, brakes and that thing was fast as ****!!

i'll look into my old mags.

Thanks again! I'll happily reimburse you for postage. Just PM me if you can find the articles.

I remember that a bit from concept to finish line. I loved waving that rag in the faces of some co-workers that are Chevy and BMW fans. They couldn't believe it.

The one insult was at the awards/trophy giving when the anoucer said specialy preped motor. The reply as sorry, stock parts with good heads.
