I've got a question on rocker panels for you guys... Is there a lead seam where the bottom of the quarter meets the rocker, ahead of the rear wheel opening?

I took my Duster completely apart last week, and noticed that there is a plainly visible seam at the joint where the rocker panel slips behind the quarter panel. I'd have thought that would be leaded over at the factory. Seems like a fantastic place for rust to start.

There is a slight dip in the contour of the panels where they meet, less pronounced than on other cars that typically have lead filling this joint, but the dip is still there.

So is this seam supposed to be a simple lap-seam, or did the factory let one out the door incorrectly finished because the guy doing the lead work was taking a bathroom break when mine came down the line? :-D

That seam has never been filled in on any of the Dusters I have had.I don't know why the factory did not fill it in, looks like ****.
