Anyone else not into them? Go figure, had no trouble pulling the trigger on a 145 hp 400 pound crotch rocket...seen the rev limiter in 6th gear more times than I care to admit to....indicated 185 mph...a few times on a narrow two lane (35 mph zone) behind my house.....but a roller coaster....not in a million years...

I've driven cars at 140, I've ridden bikes at 120 plus, but a roller coaster, no way, no how.

I think what it is for me at least, is the fact I'm not in control of it.

Love them. Two years ago I got on one, with slight reservations, for the first time in at lest thirty years. This was at Canada's Wonderland. Well I must say it was awesome. We bought fast lane tickets immediately and rode all of them, some twice. Heck after a couple I was hands high in the air. I wasn't sure to begin with, but I instantly enjoyed the heck out of them. I don't remember if there was two or three wooden coasters. Some people swear they are the best for thrilling you. I personally liked the modern ones. From standing to sitting to laying down they were all great.

Used to love 'em. Rode 'em something silly. Since my TIA and my migraines set in, I've ridden a couple. The resulting lightheadedness isn't worth the risk. Damn it.

I love them especially the wooden ones but they don't like me. They just pound my lower back and it takes weeks at the Chiropractor to get back in shape again. tmm

I love them. I live about 20 minutes from
A big amusement park and I can't get enough. It's strange though because the majority of my friends are terrified of them.

Back in the day my company made miles of track for Phila. Toboggan Co.
Great adventure, kings dominion, six flags. Etc. nothing but steel flat bar 3/8 thick on average 1 1/2 to 4 inches wide. Never climbed onto another wooden coaster when I saw that was all they ride on.

When I was younger I loved them. Now I cant go on them. Its that first intitial drop that I cant handle anymore. No idea why but Ill be waiting at the exit for everyone else.

I used to absolutely LOVE riding them. Then I got hurt. Inner ear disorders and roller coasters are not a good mix. Caint hear birds anymore either. I'd keep the roller coaster thing gone just to be able to hear the birds again.

I have 2 bad knees, a bad back, and the last one I rode on made me violently sick. No, I'll pass.

Love Em. Cain't get enough of em. Like said, especially the wooden ones!!

Used to work with a guy in NJ that loved them. He took off on a long weekend and flew to Vegas to meet his brother-in-law. Thought it was odd because Arnie did not gamble, he did not even buy lottery tickets. He cam back to work a few days later, looked sort of out of it. Spent the entire 3 days he was in Vegas riding some coaster....guess at the time, early 90's, it was one of the coasters that had the steepest/longest drop or something of that nature.

I love them. Had to stop ridding them because I have two plates and eight screws holding my head on my neck. I do not want anymore neck surgery so I don't do any rides anymore. Sucks getting old!
