I have not got to do a fun run yet in 1999 I had to go borrow a trailer and drive 15 mile's east of Joplin Mo and pick up a frend in a 58 ranchero
His rear seal and bearing went out on him and his wife.
I did see a few good car's and had a T bone stake and three Margareta's on him.
Pulled him home with my 76 dodge truck. Ha Ha Ha. :toothy7:

Did Route 66 in 2004 in the wife's BMW. Would like to
have done it in one of the Mopars. This was our 2nd trip on
"The Mother Road". We will do another trip someday in the Barracuda.

One of the things we did was take Michael Wallis book "Route 66 The Mother Road" with us. We would stop
at the places listed in his book and get autographs in the book on those pages. See the last picture below. Some
parts of the road in New Mexico are dirt....not gravel but dirt!

Still it was great fun and the scenery was beautiful.
Hope you enjoy the pictures.

I also live right off of route 66 in central Illinois and run up and down parts of it every week. I remember when I first got my license in 1980 some of it was still brick paved. Sure didn't have to worry about going to sleep driving back then. Haven't ran the entire route but someday the misses and me are planning it. Would love to do it in the Cuda but with the way it likes gas I'm not sure I can afford it.
