Well, my '74 D100 has some pretty rusty floorpans that have some pretty bad holes. I also have some rust hanging around between the drip rail and the windshield in the front of the truck and it looks pretty gnarly. i have two options really that I can think of.

A. weld in some new floor pans and try and fix the rust under the drip rail

or

B. get a whole rust free cab from the junkyard and solve both problems at once, but have to wait til I can get the truck painted or have time to prep it

That body style is prone to rust in every area your truck is. That cab if rust free is a steal

Yes I paid 300 for one about 3 years ago it was a 92' I used it on my 79 power wagon

Buy the 160 dollar cab, that is a great price.
It will cost you more in the long run to fix your cab.

It is intimidating to swap out a cab, but it is easier than you would expect. No question which route I would go. Rustprood the snot out of that new cab before it starts to rust. Use lots of cavity wax on everything internal and a quality undercoating on all external surfaces.

I have rust free cabs-my advice is to buy the cab for 160.
