Sad news for some of us old people, Phil Everly

I have a VHS tape of one of their conserts in Albert Hall. When they were a little older. Love their music!!!

What a shame. Much like Buddy Holly, that was true innocent rock and roll. We'll never see that again.

VHS ...wow ...I didn't know anyone still actually had those and here im thinking standard non 3D Blue ray DVDs are old.

sad news ...I am aware of the Everly Brothers and they made music when music was and music and it was simpler and probably better. All we can do now is listen to those old songs and know there was a lot more to the world before we were born.

Here's one of their risqué hits from 1959 because it implied that two unmarried youngins' spent the night together.

well it says in the song that it was innocent but people assume the worst ....nothing changed today ...people always assume the worst and always blame the girl.

I took the song as clean ....it is from a better time when honor meant a lot more to more people

WOW, haven't thought of those guys in years. Definately "good stuff," back then

RIP

Geez... another loss of a first generation rocker. You're right NBD, it is sad. RIP Phil, and than you for some great music, and wonderful memories.

Great picture. They look like a couple of young business men, not rock and roll stars.

Just no class left in society today.

They were a class act. The Beatles got their start by mimicking them and were referred to as "the young Everlys". They did military service, became Marines while they were music stars. Stardom took its toll as always. Gotta love those guys. RIP Phil.

LOL I have at least 10 VHS tapes of my girls growing up that I took, they are getting old and do not play so good. I would like to get them converted to DVD some day. Just my memories.

The world just got a little trashier.

I'd pay to see someone with a clean act and solid, original music like that, these days.

Rob is right, you won't see that, ever again. Contributions to the world to be played, respected and enjoyed by all.

Compassion is a dying art in every industry. Acknowledge it when you see it.
