Saginaw PS pump on a 68 Barracuda

A friend is having some problems on his 68 Barracuda with the power steering pump. Apparently the car didn't have the pump on it when he bought it. Since then he purchased a Saginaw pump but the brackets are not correct. I have a Saginaw pump and brackets that came off of a 74 Dart with a 318. Will these brackets fit a 68 340 engine? Biggest concern is if the 74 brackets will drop too low and interfere with the lower radiator hose. Also, I'm in Tennessee, he's in Utah so we can't fit it to see if it works. Thanks

I'll bet against it. 68 model 340 had a shorter nose cast iron water pump. The 74 had a longer, different bolt ears ?, aluminum water pump. Good luck
