It's a drink made of Grapefruit juice and vodka with salt around the rim. There is a place in Homer, Alaska named the "Salty Dawg Saloon". If ya ever get there check it out. Do some halibut fishing while your there. Anyone ever drank a "Salty Dawg"?"

Yep:-D My aunt Dorralee turned me on to them over 30 years ago and it seems like I had one not long ago at brothers house :happy10:
I like them and I will take some baked Salmon please =P~

Oh Yes, gotta love those healthy alcoholic beverages. It's grapefruit season, try it with fresh-squeezed....my mouth is watering now....=P~

Damn! Been a long time...that's a tasty combination. Thanks for reminding me. I know what I'll be drinking all weekend!!

Ah........Homer, Ak. A quaint drinking town with a fishing problem. I've hung a few dollars on the walls of the Salty Dawg on Homer Spit. Here's a couple of pictures of my boys and me a couple of years ago.

The largest Halibut i ever caught was 90# and the largest King weighed in at 85#. 45 min and 1.25 mile of river and i boated him. 18 lb test line and 6.5 ' rod.
