I'd been trying to buy this car for about 7years. The owner put about 150 miles on it after he bought it. Then it was parked outside. Finally saved it and breathed new life into her over the last couple months. 64 GT. It was a /6 auto, now a V8 4spd ball and trunnion 3.09 first with a 2.94 sure-grip 8 3/4. Motor is out of my swinger 318 summit 6900 cam, 302 heads. Headin out for our maiden voyage today. Thanks to everyone who came up with parts for her. The other pics are the 57 plymouth takin in some rays for the first time in months.

Nice cars!

very interested in your performance and MPG with that drivetrain.

Of course...what does that car weigh- 2750?

Everything went good. 185 mile round trip to Cleveland. Pulled 18.74 MPG at 65 -80 mph, mostly highway. YY1, I do notice a weight difference from when this motor was in my swinger. Even though I did manage about the same mileage. The best I ever got was 20.5 in the swinger. It is 3.91 with .73 overdrive. I may have lost a little going from the 4seconds flat box and flame thrower coil to single points and ancient, sears and roebuck coil. 2 things need attention: Flush or replace heater core, and new rubber seals and windlace to seal up the cabin. Over all It was great.
