Talk to the boss man. It has been suggested.Shouldn’t we try to figure out a way to have new members wait a while before they can sell stuff here? I KNOW we have written knowledge and warnings from our moderators, but maybe it’s time for a moderator to update the warnings and add Zelle.
Agree, I'm on an aquarium forum that won't let you post for sale items, until you have significant number of posts.how about you can't post a for sale ad until you have positive feedback from buying or 100 posts and a full mailbox
Or here you could buy in to the for sale section with FABO Gold.Agree, I'm on an aquarium forum that won't let you post for sale items, until you have significant number of posts.
That wannadrag guy is still around. I see he posted a 70 Road Runner for sale a week ago over on FBBO.I made the same mistake when I bought my '75 Duster off the Mopars for sale on this site. Guy (Wannadrag) had lots of posts so I figured he was trustworthy, wrong. Here's the conversation: https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/direct-messages/75-duster.318407/#convMessage-1242312
I paid for a 360/727 car and got a 318/904 delivered. Plenty of text/email traffic until I took delivery and tried to contact him, then a ghost. Long gone from this website. Consider yourself lucky you "only" lost $300. I figure I overpaid ~$2k, based on what I was supposed to be buying. There are some great people on this site and I've bought stuff without problems. Buying stuff from people with a lot of posts isn't necessarily a safe strategy, as my example shows. Just have to be as careful as you can.
Do NOT do any business with this man. He said he had a front bumper and brackets for a 1973 Plymouth Duster and sent me photos that he most likely lifted off someone else's post or ad. Got me for a couple hundred dollars. He refused to take cash or check, only Zelle. His email is mbautotech07@gmail.com and he claims to be from Nampa, Idaho. I repeat, do NOT do business with this scammer as you will be out a couple hundred dollars like me.
Thank you kind sir. I do hope the OP is able to recoup something.too many things have added up to him being a scammer and I have banned him from the site

Maybe allow op to edit the title to include email address?
He had the 75 Duster on FBBO also, someone asked if L code car and he said was a 318 car. That wannadrag guy is still around. I see he posted a 70 Road Runner for sale a week ago over on FBBO.
I agree to certain number of posts before you can sell many forums in Australia were like that however most have died out. But full mailbox is a stretch i have maybe for messages if that lolhow about you can't post a for sale ad until you have positive feedback from buying or 100 posts and a full mailbox

As long as we keep lookin out for each other we can get um recognized. It's a shame people still get taken, people need to use a form of payment with buyer protection. It becomes pretty obvious (to me) when sellers want payment by some bullcrappy method without any protection.that was considered a long time ago and I decided it wasn't in the best interest of the site for various reasons. These scammers usually get caught by me or the systems I have in place. When they get by me there are warnings to the people who post WTB ads
The full mailbox was a bit of a joke. it seems everyone who tries to sell something ends up with a full mailboxI agree to certain number of posts before you can sell many forums in Australia were like that however most have died out. I agree......Unfortunately, there are people that will jerk a seller around by submitting B/S complaints to eg) Paypal (remember the dude with the gas cap?). I for one will not take payment for a big ticket item using any form of payment that will open me up to get jerked around. I am honest, and represent anything I am selling openly with full disclosure. I would rather sell face-to-face.As long as we keep lookin out for each other we can get um recognized. Yeah that guy was a piece of work. We all told him that was not a factory painted cap and he went and listed it on eBay as a factory painted cap. Idiot. There's always one in every crowd.I agree......Unfortunately, there are people that will jerk a seller around by submitting B/S complaints to eg) Paypal (remember the dude with the gas cap?). Thank you. I appreciate all the support and apologize for making a huge deal out of it as a newbie myself. This site is awesome.too many things have added up to him being a scammer and I have banned him from the site
The only thing I got out of it was a lesson learned and some guys offering the parts I was supposed to receive. It is what it is.Thank you kind sir. I do hope the OP is able to recoup something.
It sucks, but I reckon that's something. Just protect yourself from now on and only use payment forms with buyer protection. I hope you find the stuff you need. The only thing I got out of it was a lesson learned and some guys offering the parts I was supposed to receive. It is what it is.
He claims to use his daughter's Zelle. I have tried calling the phone number and looking up the name he used "Pearson Reginald"Can you post anymore personal info? Name address etc, the more the better.
