anyone know "how far" the hole for the shifter cable, on a turbo-action cheeta shifter goes ahead of the shifter itself?
I`m installing mine in the stock console, in the stock shifter locaton, looks like the cable will come completely out of the console before it goes thru the floor, altho I haven`t spent a lot of time trying to figure it out.
Of couse I`ve already got the carpet in, and don`t want to pulll it up.

On either the BM or Cheetah, I managed to run mine through the original console shifter hole. Or did you not have a console?

no hole, it would have to be installed way back, to go thru the shifter hole, being as how the cheeta shifter is about a foot long, w/ the cable pointing forward. installed in the stock location in a console the front of the shifter is already past the 4 speed hole.( which I don`t have)
