I have a 72 Swinger. I unplugged the wires under the seat years ago for the seat belt buzzer. Now the buzzer and the light on the dash come on while I'm driving. It's very annoying. Sometimes they come on when I hit a bump or go around a turn. It usually goes right back off but on other occasions it will buzz for 15 minutes or more until I hit the right bounce or turn and it will go off. I'm hoping someone has some idea of how to correct this.
Thanks,
Frank

These changed every year from 72 - 3 -4. I believe? there's a control module under the dash, I'd guess unplug it. Refer to the service manual. This might not be in some of the earlier printed 72 manuals.

Thanks, but I'm hoping to fix it. I'd really like to make everything work on this car. In the meantime I'll disconnect it to avoid the buzzer annoyance.

Seat belt buzzer=3 or 4 ounces of useless weight. Toss it and enjoy the extra .048 horsepower you just picked up... :burnout: and the peace and quiet...

X2. First car I ever owned with any sort of buzzer was my 70 RR. "It got gone" very quickly
