Seat belt switch

i been putting a 74 harness in a 73 car .came to a switch that contrils seat belt use..if they are not plugged in car wont start..how do i get around this switch...cut wires rewire jumpers..any idea...tx..j

or dig into the harness, download the 72 service manual, and find the yellow start wire from the bulkhead connector, and be sure it's wired to the start relay

If you are getting power "in start" to the yellow wire (push on) at the start relay, check for trouble at the neutral safety switch. To start that out, ground the OTHER start relay terminal.
 
wow just what i was looking for..ill put a jumper between the two before i make its initial attempt to start...tx [i mite even try to use this spot as a anti theft switch..your help is really appreciated]..j
