Sounds to me like 4 relays going off, the 4 loud clicks and the 4 soft clicks are the 4 relays going high then low and the timing makes them sound like its one continuous run...> Lots of false answers too on the same web site. They sound almost like spark discharges, like someone spinning that coil demo machine at a speed shop, but I cant explain the soft ones that follow.

secret sound solved! It was "a indoor gas heater starting"...man I was close. I said. "They sound almost like spark discharges..." and they were! The sound at the very beginning was the gas valve opening. They had to give a clue as the prize was getting too large.
