Sending unit change with 8 3/4 in Car?

My sending unit in the gastank is not working. Can I change it with the 8 3/4 in the car? It looks tieght to be able to pull sending unit out of gastank. Thanks in advance.

Yup, just make sure your tank is 1/4 or less or you'll get a nice shower!

If you put jackstands under the body and let the axle hang, it may help with clearance.
