Separating bucket seat runners/tracks

I've looked at these seat tracks every which way and I can't see any obvious way to separate the runner from the seat track/mount. Can they be split ? Just looking to paint them before installing new seat covers. The runners are from a 68/69 A body bucket seat.

there are tabs that need to be bent out in order to separate.

Separating them is NOT ideal, there are tiny ball bearings in there and once they come apart, plan on spending quite awhile trying to get them all back in.

I took one apart and fiddled with it for a whole day and it never seemed right after all that, so I think you are better off painting what you can, re-grease and use.

doesn't look like you have a rust problem in the actual slider.

The swedged in stud with nut shown in your pic, remove that and it will come apart. Or use a pin drift through a hole with a hammer to flatten on of the stop dimples. I found removing the stud easiest.
