Shifter Block

I have an early A shifter block and I am going to be using it in a late A application. After reviewing the pictures it seems as though they are pretty similar it looks like it will just mount the shifter a little higher. Has anyone done this and if so what experience did you have and how well did the car shift? Did you have any binding or anything with the linkages?

The left one is late A and the right one is early A

The blocks cause problems with the shifter rods if interchanged because it also angles the shifter.

Like how bad of problems? Like it would stick a little or full blown wouldnt work problems? Like jamming and inability to shift?

I tried the 65 shifter with the 72 adapter and it would not have enough room to shift.

Ok well I will just assume it will be the same way vice versa. I will have to find someone to trade now. SH*T
