Are all of the Shifter Mechanism the same? The shifter in my car is sloppy, I have a shifter from a truck OD, that feels a lot better. The car has an 833 OD, will the truck one bolt right in?

Yes the od shifter box is the same. You just have to pull the actual shifter arm out and change the rods across.

no... the shift pattern is the same. just think 1,2,3,4 vs 1,2,3,OD

Just wanted to make sure. I have a non-OD one to but its rusted solid. Side by side they look the same, except the OD one has a zerk fitting in the side.

Yes externally they are the same except for the fitting and it will work for an A-or B-Body but internally there are some differences. Also if it came from a truck that usually means it will be worn a lot unless it was a repolacement or from a low mileage vehicle.
