Should I replate window regulators

I'll be putting back together my 64 Dart GT after it gets painted this month (pictures to come).

I was wondering if it would be advisable to replate/galvinize my window regulators. My painter thought it would not be a good idea, but I think I've seen others on here who have done this.

I'm just worried about the operation of them after having this done. I also thought this would be a good way to clean up all of the old grease on them.

I wouldn't mess with good, working regulators.

Fresh grease is never a bad idea but that's as far as I would go.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll just try to clean them up some.
