Should I start a U tube channel?

More detailed info on the work being done in video's?

  • You bet, the drama between the cast members is annoying.

  • Nah, there's enough of that crap already

  • Don't give a crap one way or the other.

You could always turn comments off. Also, you can publish videos but not have them publicly searchable, only shareable via a link. That way you could share with the forum for feedback until you were comfortable with your format and content.

Either way, I'd look forward to it.

Yes ^^^^^ good idea for getting the channel started.

I'm considering the idea of doing a Youtube channel with more in depth details on some things we don't usually see on most people's video's and car related shows.
Most video's you see a part sitting on a work table, and when they come back from a commercial it's in the car.

I don't know about you guys, but I like to see more detail on what it took to do it and some of the things to watch out for instead of it being mostly an advertisement for some aftermarket companies parts.

Obviously some of you are somewhat beyond some of the stuff we see on TV or the internet.
I consider myself one of those, but I still like watching them.
If you think you might like a Youtube channel that goes into more detail on some of the normal things we do, or would like to do on vehicles in general please say so, as I am really considering doing it if the interest is what I feel it would be.

Thanks for taking a second to vote.

Yea I do the shareable options. That way if I want someone to see it I can just share the link.

Please don't do ten minute videos with 8 minutes of " hey YouTubers this is Herman and today we are going to remove the giggle spring from the kanuten valve in 47 easy steps."

Get to the point and keep it pithy ..

Any progress on your first youtube vid Trailbeast?

Well, I am working out some of the details like using my Iphone vs a Sony 1080p camera.
The camera is kind of a PIA to do video's with, but the Iphone does pretty good itself.
I really don't like the idea of having to edit video's either, so they may actually be just straight out of the camera as is. (?)

I don't plan on long video's with a bunch of talking or introductions of any pets or stuff like that.
Just basic quick and easy information and/or video of things like how all the advance works together and things like that.

Now I have a new project I have to get into, as my oldest Son lost his job and really doesn't have any other employable skills other than management.
Today he is going to learn basic mig welding and start building small, like patio tables, plant stands, raised bed garden borders and stuff like that to start.

Heck I even have web space he can use to promote the stuff.
My Brother used to do that kind of stuff when he wasn't fixing heavy equipment or building commercial trailers.

Here's some of my Brothers work.
The green house looking things are commercial building roof vent covers.
