I've really enjoyed the 2nd gen thread, but felt like we needed one for the generation that started it all.

Post some pics of 1st generation Barracudas 1964, 1965, and/or 1966. Your car, or somone elses...

I will start with my ride... Needs a lot of love, but here it is in it's current state.

none of these cars in the pics are mine. i once had a 65 barracuda, 273 / auto , paint code 000, buffed silver, red interior, buckets, console that i got as a birthday present in 1998 for $300 bucks. running , driving , sweet little car that i dearly miss... (sniff,sniff)

Ok here's mine a 66 273 car with factory air,i'm the only 1st gen in my area to attend as may cruise ins/shows as possible till the white one showed up.

This will be a fun thread. My family had Mopars back when. My uncle had a 56 Royal, my cousin had a 63 Dodge 880 coupe but in the early 70's (I was 15 at the time) my cousin had a 65 Barracuda. Black with a gold stripe. Original 273 4 speed car. The 273 was gone and replaced with a 318. That car could burn that right rear tire (bias ply 13") a city block and although it had a Inland shifter I could still powershift second and the tire screaming would continue. That was my first "Performance Mopar" experience. Keep posting those First Gen. Barracudas. They have a place in many of our Mopar hearts. tmm

Awesome! Thanks for starting this Shane65. After seeing the 2nd gen thread, I was hoping a 1st gen thread would get started. Great looking cars so far. I'd post mine, but she's not very pretty yet, lol.

nice 2 see someone started a thread of 1st gen barracudas. great job! keep the pix coming. hopefully i can add some pix of my 65 fish soon
 
Here is mine. First pic is from 2009
Second pic is from when I had this Fish the first time, circa 1977.
Found the fish again when a guy had it for sale in the Swedish Craig List. I just had to have it back in my pond.

So you have multiple species in that Swedish pond. Very nice 1st gen Swedefish. And cool story about how that fish navigated the ocean blue but was able to find it's way home.

There is some work on the fish, the engine and the engine compartment is in a need of a facelift. I also got a new red interior that is waiting to be installed in the fish. Hope to be able to start with it this summer.

Thats our member seebee's car. I'm sure he'll chime in with some more pic's. I think he's doing some motor work right now, hope he's got it in hand and it'll be ready for summer cruising. Oh wait, he's from Cali, where it's summer everyday!!!LOL!! It is a nice little car!! Geof
