Nice 67 superstock I believe. Shame some one cut the plug off hard to fine working. Same as the 250 but mopar marked.
Is that basically a transistor booster for the factory dual point distributor? If so, does it work with the distributor condenser or does it have to be removed, and what's the effect on point life?

You remove the condenser, use the short tungsten tipped points and it is basically a CDI Box, The hardest thing is finding the proper coil and ballast for that setup if you want it to be factory.

I suspect it is just a transistorised ign cct. Other car makers brands had them in the 60s as well. It reduced points arcing because the transistor switched the heavy coil current & this extended points life; & some of them used a special low resistance ign coil that greatly increased spark energy. I doubt it is a CD ign; housing does not look big enough to house a transformer & not enough wires.

So is this for a V8....I noticed the blue ones are for 6 cylinders? Just curious? Do they work good....are these before Mopar Electronic ignition boxes?
I purchased this one from a Member here, Slanty kit, not blue....so no..
